The difference is simple. Confident people know how to be naturally humble; arrogant people dont. Look at the best pro athletes. The arrogant need professional handlers to tell them when to act humble, the confident are naturally nice guys who dont have to put on an act.

Looking through the lens of another person at yourself can be a great way to get another perspective on who you are.

I would venture that this girl is used to associating guys who are straight-forward and confidant with cockiness. There is a fine line between confidence and cockiness. Some people are attracted to confidence, some are threatened by it because it makes them feel insecure about their own capacity for self-love. Maybe you're just scary to her.

A girl said something similar to me this weekend. I let it get processed and then let it go. Ultimately, if you're being true to yourself then that is what matters.

am i the only one who comments on your thoughts? maybe everyone else tweets you! This is a interesting paradox. In one of my marketing classes in college they taught me its not about your customer base size, its about the profit you take per customer. It's much harder to manage 1000 customers at $20 per profit than manage 500 customers at $40 per profit. But its the same result.
But if your base is too small, you can devastate your business when you lose a few.

Learn from the Gun-toatin Grandma I hired in San Diego. I was hiring Cust. Support Reps for a large call center (1000ee's). I interviewed and tested this 50ish grandma, who was a sweet talker, seemed sharp and impressive. 3 days after I mistakenly started her, her background check came back with multiple felony weapons dealing convictions. I never made that mistake again.
