I recently gave spoke at a BPO conference in the Philippines, where I addressed hundreds of talented, ambitious and entrepreneurial Filipinos in Manila. As I had the opportunity to meet many of the conference attendees and answer questions it became immediately clear that are decision to build TaskUs in the Philippines was vindicated. There is an incredible amount of raw talent in the Philippines that is poised to become a true economic power in the coming years. I was overwhelmed by the sense of pride in each person I chatted with and taken aback by their determination to build their country and provide for generations to come. My presentation touched on a couple interesting topics: the future of the Philippines, the future of work, the necessary ingredients for a top tier virtual assistant and the incredible opportunities that lie ahead for the people of the Philippines. See my presentation below:

As chairperson, I invited Mr. Bryce Maddock to speak at the 1st Philippine BPO virtual assistant conference last July 20 hoping he would come to the Philippines and inspire us with his vision. His work at taskus.com is a true testament of the belief in the Filipino talent as a virtual professional . There are many CEO’s of Business Process Outsourcing Companies here in the Philippines however, when you get to view the videos and website of taskus.com there is a huge remarkable difference. He truly promotes the abilities of the filipino virtual assistants and not himself , and even has an educational advocacy for the Filipinos. For one who is from another country and not a Filipino this is quite remarkable and unique . His actions and leadership is what the Philippines needs to move forward to a progressive technology oriented nation in Southeast Asia. We in the Philippines have vast resources of manpower untapped and it takes a visionary like him to harness that energy for global applications. Young , dynamic, selfless, humble and a people person .. the true epitome of the new breed of CEO’s that global businesses should emulate.. He has truly captured the mind, spirit and hearts of the Filipino people!! May you continually be blessed and succeed in your endeavors…
