It’s too early to say, “I told you so!”

Amongst the financial panic earlier this week I found myself in a somewhat argumentative discussion with my parents. The topic was money and the economy.

It was Wednesday night and the markets had fallen nearly 10% for the week. “I heard someone on the radio saying this could be the coming of the next Great Depression,” my mom said.

“I don’t buy it at all,” I said. “My feeling is that whatever the markets do over the next two days will be a pretty good indicator of what we are going to see them do over the next year.”

Admire the photo:
The markets haven’t yet closed for the day, but all the major indices are trading higher than they were at the start of the week.

Now if Palin’s approval rating would just head in the opposite direction!
