I was sick all weekend. I had a fever, exhaustion and junk in my throat. Yesterday, I had to work, as we were on a deadline to get all of the final text for the website to our designers…that was fun.

Anyhow, I have been doing a lot of reflecting this past week. Life, death, sickness, happiness, inner critics. All of these subjects will appear in blog posts to come. Today, I am feeling better, still a bit tired.

Tonight it’s off to meditation class and then out to dinner to bid my brother (Preston Maddock) farewell. He’s off to Trinity in Connecticut to start college. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my envy. Such a concrete experience, challenge and achievement to look forward to. I’ll relive it vicariously.

Good health is a great blessing, unfortunately overlooked often at our age. Hope you’re well soon.

You’re absolutely right Brad. It’s always in the few days immediately after being sick that I recognize the blessing…then I quickly start taking it for granted again.
